That answers our Concert DVD & CD question. Although I still wish it was one of the most recent shows, like at six flags.
1. "Any plans for a 'Jesse McCartney Concert' DVD & an Instrumental version of Departure: Recharged?"
The concert at HOB in LA was shot by Live Nation and should be offered on iTunes in September. There's been no discussion of an instrumental version of Departure : Recharged.
2. Is there going to be a music video for Body Language?
The first video is "Behind the scenes with Live performance footage" of Body Language and later a full music video with T-Pain. The shooting has been delayed because I'm making a film right now.
3. At a recent concert you said you were going to be in the studio this fall, can we expect an album early 2010?
After I finish with "Beware The Gonzo," I want to get back in the studio. I don't know what the release date will be. It depends on how long the creative process takes. But for sure it will be next year.
4. Have you ever considered producing? If so, who would you be interested in working with?
I would love to take on producing and working with some of my favorite artists. I'd like to develop new artists too. Down the line I'll definitely get deeper into that.
5. Will you be doing your own tour anytime soon?
We're probably not doing a real tour until the next album is about to come out.
6. What is the most personal song for you on the album, and why?
This is hard because I don't like to give out details of my personal life. Let's just say "It's Over" was the one that hit home the most.
7. What's the most embarrassing thing that's ever happened to you meeting a fan or being on stage?
The most recent embarrassing thing was not long ago when I was singing Oxygen to a girl on stage, standing over her the way I do while she was sitting in a chair. The end of my microphone accidentally dipped into her shirt and pulled it open. It was there for a good minute before I looked down and noticed it. I don't think anyone saw what I had a short moment to see. I don't even think she knows that I saw what I saw. I didn't miss a beat and moved it away quickly. But it took me a few seconds of embarrassment before I sorted out that nobody saw anything. At least I think nobody saw. Maybe it's on youtube somewhere.
8. Do you, Aaron and Phil have a say in what you wear on stage performing?
Absolutely. We talk to my stylist about our ideas and then she goes to stores and showrooms to pull a bunch of clothes for us to try on and choose from.
9. What direction do you plan on taking for your next album?
The new tracks on Departure:Recharged give you a preview of where I'm going. It's going to be a progression. I want to work with some of the same co-writers and producers but I'm going to work with some new people too.
10. Have you ever thought of starting your own clothing line?
I'm not rushing into anything but eventually I want to do a higher-end clothing brand.
11. When is your perfume, 'Wanted' coming out?
It should be out Christmas '09
12. Since you have said lately you like to cook, what is your favorite thing to make?
I'm most inspired to cook when I have a party. Since everyone likes simple comfort foods I usually have the most fun cooking burgers and steaks on the barbeque. Then I add an an incredible parmesan-garlic bread, a big salad and everyone's happy.
13. What do you think of JMPT?
I think no one could ask for better
