What exactly can we see on Ping?

Jesse tweeted this and my HK iTunes account does not allow me to access to this "Ping" page. So what exactly is "Ping" and what did Jesse post? Anybody can help?

You have to set up your Ping account and follow Jesse or any other artist you want and you can see what they post. It's a bit like Twitter and Facebook but just for music.

Oh I have an iTunes account but I can only shop at HK's page. When I click Ping, it says "error". And the page disappears, which means HK iTunes store doesn't have any linkage to Ping. Anyway, it's okay now that I know it's just another thing like facebook/tweeter. Thanks
